Admission profile

Student profile recommended in the Verification Report for the Graduate Degree in Medicine

Considering the exceptional character of the Medicine Degree, whose goal is to train successful medical professionals—with the responsibilities that the professional practice of medicine entails—it is recommended that prospective students present a series of personal characteristics and in their previous education to facilitate integration in their studies, together with exceptional academic performance:

  • Vocational attitude—vocation to serve as a doctor.
  • Dedication to problems causing other people to suffer.
  • Empathy and solidarity.
  • Ability to work individually and in groups. Understanding that medical practice requires an intense, continuous, life-long professional commitment and is based on teamwork.  
  • Reasoning, analysis, and synthesis skills.  Solid academic foundation in basic sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and social sciences.  
  • Interest in scientific, creative work; inquisitive and searching spirit; objectivity, responsibility, and social empathy.
