XXIX Vice-Chancellor's Cup 

Competitive Activities 2018/2019

Football 7-a-side, Indoor football, Handball and Volleyball.

Registrations:

  • Only, students, teaching staff and research and administrative and services staff of the University of Castilla-La Mancha will be able to participate in the competition.
  • The teams may be made up of members of the university community from different centres, providing they belong to the same campus.
  • In all situations registrations will be at the Sports Service at the corresponding campus.
  • The deadline for registrations is the 24th of October 2018.

Documentation Necessary

  • Registration sheet correctly filled in regarding the team members
  • Payment of the corresponding registration fee for the XXIX Chancellor´s Cup.
  • On the registration sheet, it is highly important to show the name, address and telephone number of the team delegate to whom all schedules, games timetables and other information about the competition will be given. Teams that do not provide these details will not be permitted to register.

Competition System

The 7-a-side football competition and indoor football will be played out in two phases:
  • Stage I: The first stage  will be decided by the league system   in rounds in groups of 4 teams each one.
  • Stage II:The first to classify in each of the groups will  play a match in a qualifying round.
In the other sports modes, the competition system will be done according to the teams registered.

Important Dates

  • Registrations: From the 17th of September to the 24th of October of 2018
  • Groups draw:  25-26th of October.
  • Schedules are drawn up: from the 29th of October to the 2nd of November
  • Start of Competitions: 6th of November.

Individual sports (Academic year 2018/2019)

Registrations

  • Only, students, teaching staff and research and administrative and services staff of the University of  Castilla-La Mancha will be able to participate in the competition.
  • Participants must be members of the university community  and may belong to different centres in the pairs modes provided they belong to the same campus.
  • In all situations registrations will be at the Sports Service at the corresponding campus.
  • The  deadline for registrations  is the 24th of October 2017.
  • Payment of the corresponding registration fee must be made for the XXIX Chancellor´s Cup.

Important

In order to participate in any activity organized by the Sports Service of the University of  Castilla-La Mancha, it is essential to be a member of the university community which must be shown on registration with a photocopy of  a supporting document along with the registration sheet.

Rule for reimbursement of fees paid for registration in physical-sports activities organized by the university sports service:

  1. In order to receive a reimbursement for fees paid to the UCLM in reference to registration for  physical-sports activities organized by the Sports Service, the interested party must attach the original  official receipt of the applicant with his or her request for reimbursement. 
  2. Decisions regarding requests for reimbursement of fees paid for registration for  physical-sports activities organized by the Sports Service, will be made by means of a  properly reasoned judgement from the Manager of the University Extension area,  after the Sports Service management has issued a report. 
  3. Reimbursement will solely be given for cases which are attributable to the university or exceptionally for reasons  of force majeure  for which the applicant must show supporting evidence.
