Responsibilities

A

ccording to the Decision of 04/04/2016, of the University of  Castilla-La Mancha, on delegation of responsibilities  of the Chancellor for different matters and institutions, the following is delegated to the Vice-chancellor´s office for Teaching:

  • Responsibilities regarding official Degree and Master´s university qualifications which are valid nationwide, especially those regarding approval, coordination, verification, monitoring, validation and amendment of programmes, teaching and study plans for these qualifications.
  • Signing agreements related to university degree and master´s, especially those referring to organization, with other national universities, of joint teaching leading to awarding of university degrees and master´s.
  • Powers and responsibilities in innovative education matters.
  • Responsibilities for recognition and transference of credits, as well as validation or adaptation of subjects or credits, except the study contracts of students in mobility programmes, and responsibilities relative to rulings made in answer to as many appeals as the students make against judgements or outcomes of these acts, except when these rulings or actions have been taken by the Vice-chancellor for Teaching.
  • Responsibilities for approval of academic timetables, granting special awards, the formalities  for administrative acts, supplementary training requirements for validating foreign higher education qualifications and academic coordination of the university centres and, in general, responsibilities regarding academic affairs which have not been explicitly delegated to other university institutions.
  • As many powers and responsibilities conferred to the Chancellor for official representation of the university before the authorities and before any type of person or public or private institution on the Ciudad Real campus and for signing agreements, if applicable, provided that due to the subject matter, authority for signing these agreements does not specifically lie with another university institution. However, in this case, the Vice-chancellor for Teaching may endorse these agreements provided there is a report in their favour from the authorized institution on the matter.
  • In general, as many powers conferred on the Chancellor in the field of teaching by the legislation in force, the University Statutes and other regulations applicable.
